got a bag limit one night last year in the boat and i really enjoyed it, better than the snapper i was after. Used to get the 40cm ones off the reef platforms in the northern suburbs. And on the light gear after a tailor session was a great way to end the morning.

Around now used to be the right time of year for them, they go hard. havent seen big numbers off the rocko jetties for a few years now.

There was a quick run of them for 1 or 2 nights at the rocko jetties about a month ago, other than that, very rare to encounter them these days
