rubbers
Submitted by Sea goat on Mon, 2018-05-07 21:07Hey guys, quick question....
i have a double rubber gun (one of the rob allan tuna rail guns), was wondering if it matters if both the rubbers arent exactly the same length? i have the 2 that came with it, but found them quite diffiuclt to load (im a novice so my technique needs improving) so i bought another rubber very slightly longer....
is it ok to use the longer rubber to reach the farthest notch and the shorter on the one slightly closer?? this would make it a bit easier for me, but dont want to effect accuracy etc, if this is the case i will just buy a second longer rubber, but was hoping to not have to spend any more.
would be great to get your thoughts!
cheers

equipment advice
Submitted by Sea goat on Mon, 2018-03-19 15:35Hi guys...
I am looking at getting into spear fishing and doing more free diving etc and was wondering if I could get some advice on gear?
since I am just starting out I am not loking for anything too extravagant, ut would like to know some failry reputable brands to be looking at.
have reasonable mask, fins could use an upgrade, definitely need a speargun.
also with the speargun, what features would generally be adviseable for a newbie? ive noted a lot of different lengths etc, railguns, line clips....
Any advice greatly appreciated!

Spearfishing Exmouth land based
Submitted by Deeg on Tue, 2015-03-24 06:19Hi everyone,
heading to exmouth from the 8th - 13th of April from Queensland. Just wondering where I would be able to spearfish as I am land based. Also what should I expect to encounter? Don't dive very deep only like 6m max but would love to get in for a paddle while I'm over there.
Thanks in advance.

belt cleaning
Submitted by kknlk on Mon, 2015-02-02 12:34While abaloning I found a dive belt with weights and stainless buckle. Weights and buckle are no problem but the belt had seaweed growing thru it. I've scrapped it off and used mild bleach solution to kill what's left. It's now sunning for a little bit. Anyone got any idea how to get the rest of the green bits left as I gather it will be roots etc in between the weave. Belt is otherwise in reasonable nick.

scuba dive course recommendations
Submitted by scano on Fri, 2014-12-26 18:50Hi all,
Can anyone on here recommend a particular agent to do a dive course with?
I have just had the all clear with my diving medical and am now looking to book in and get my dive ticket.
there are several different types around (paddy is the most common I think)
more than anything I want to be able to get my ticket and to the occasional recreational dive for some crays during season.
many thanks for any recommendations
