Wahoo is certianly up there for me.

Finally caught one in Exy last year and couldnt believe how good it tasted. I find it hard to cook though because its so lean.

Bluebone is a nickname

Wed, 2017-02-22 22:56

There are about 6 species of "Bluebone" in WA, in fact they are all Tuskfish, or Choerodon. Baldchin Groper, Blue Tuskfish, Blue spotted Tuskfish, Purple Tuskfish, Venus Tuskfish (maybe Blackspot but?) and Blackspot Tuskfish

Just a thought. Is it

Thu, 2017-02-23 08:01

Just a thought. Is it possible to make extra votes, say 3, because it is such a toss up between some and it will give a broader spectrum of the result.
I picked KG, but tossed a coin with Robbo's

Sorry the voting system is only set up to let you have one vote.

The question was what is THE BEST anyway so no harm making you choose.

Good to see all the options people have put up and a little surprised at some of the results

That was very nice too. We are very lucky having so many tasty fish. My vote went to the B arse though. But it's like splitting hairs.

Fantastic cold the next day when crumbed

Thu, 2017-07-13 13:38

I voted for KG as I love it the next day when it is cold especially when it has been done in breadcrumbs and shallow fried. Heaven for me.

12 species in the box

Fri, 2017-07-14 08:42

I just did a count and have twelve of these in the shed freezer at present. Looks like some good dinners coming heading up to spring.

1 Sandwhiting

2 Baldchin

3 Mahi Mahi

4 Spangled

5 Red Emperor

6 Dhufish

7 Blackarse

8 Robo Sea bream

9 Rankin

10 Spanish Mackeral

11 Estuary cod

12 Pink Snapper.

Voted my favourite as the sentimental Baldchin but hard to pick one from a number of the above. Sand whiting close second but so different to the demersals.

 It's a hard vote because

Fri, 2017-07-14 12:57

It's a hard vote because there are no Coral Trout and warmer species in the metro so I voted Metro and it is hard to go past Red snapper 1, Dhu 2
