I use the Lowrance H2O and it gets pounded by water on my centre console and I've had no problems with it !! Only around 6-700 for the unit maybe less and compatible to quite a few different cards.

i use a garmen etrax for all my fishing 4*4ing and hiking.

have used the simple units through to $15000 units for work.

never had a problem especially with etrax in boat.

depending on your budget there is a very good range in garmen etrax

highly recommended

All the Same

They are all much the same ,just don't take one or get caught on a charter or someone elses boat without permission.

Or else you may be talking with a squeaky voice in future
