Faulkners trip up north Part 2

Part 2 the Day of the Ranken Cods and Reds

Finally get out on the water in the boat for a fish & salt water fix as the wind has been up Went right out to the 64 mtr mark behind the murion islands and on our was came across some birds gave them a troll Sandy hooked up on a screamer but then gone (no more fishy) that’s fishing no other hook up so out we went . Bit sloppy but by Perth standards fishable all geared up the sea anchor out and the race was on who would bring the first fish on board.Russell and Brenden hook up first with in 5 mins

Then Sandy & Nathan hook up

Russell was first with a small cod (returned to the sea) and then up came Brenden with a nice Rankin Cod

Sandy with a nice size Red

then Nathan with a nice size long nose emperor

The weather was starting to get rougher but with nice size fish coming on boat and the fun time having a race we fished on. Brenden caught a few red throat and passionfruit cod all which were returned even tho they were size. Nathan went on to catch a couple red throats one was released one was kept With the weather growing worse we did another drift as Russell was still to land a keeper His moment came about half an hour later One nice size red throat

Then  two nice size Rankin Cod

Sandy finished the day with two Rankin Cod pic smaller one of two

We had to leave our fishing there for the day as the northerly wind were starting to really get up (meant to have been dropping darn weather men)and a wave broke at the side of the boat it was a good sign to get the hell out of there *lol*. It was a rough trip home lucky the wind was behind us but we all felt good after a good days fishing till we went to retrieve our boat and notice that the winch cable was ready to snap, boats lined up waiting to get in and yeah we held them all up *lol* we managed to get it on with team work Sandy backing the car & trailer back ,Nathan on the winch Russell making sure it came up straight while pulling on a rope and Brenden driving the boat up on the trailer .  A great day had by all . Not bad for 4 hours fishing & Fish For Tea

Certainly some nice fish, pitty sandy couldn't have hung on to that screamer!

I'm inpressed with the ramp team work Russ Wink. It's a bugga when thinks like that happen - especially if you've had a big day out.

Great report! Bring on #3! LOL
