Rate them

I rate them pretty good , my son doesn't eat much fish but looks forward to a feed of DEEP water Skippy , we just dust with flour and cook in olive oil , twist of lemon and some oven fries .

Also Sashimi them , slice thin , squirt on some Lime or Lemon let it sit for 10 mins , drain off the juice and serve with a streak of Wasabi and some Soy to dip it in .

They fillet up easy as well and skinning is a breeze .

I recon they are one of my favorite fish the punters can catch as they are quick and easy to process ( more time to drink then)

Hey Mav. I have a couple of spots out behind Rotto.Just wondering some people call them the barges and some say there the sea containers. What is really out there.

Well lot's of water thats for sure , there are both out there , you can tell a container by it's shape on the sounder barges are just blobs on the bottom sometimes you pick up the ribs of the ships out there , I have only been out there maybe 30 times so don't know all the spots yet , and they all look the same to me .

I heard there is suppose to be a sub out there too, I know one old salt that recon's he knows where it is .

MAV.

I rate them pretty bad ey,

I rate them pretty bad ey, don't know why... inshore or offshore, wherever.

They just have a real 'fishy' smell I can't seem to get rid off. I prefer a more 'flakey' texture too.

If I had a choice, I'd stick with coral trout =D
