Swan river Mully
Submitted by doubleheader_king on Fri, 2018-11-02 20:58

4 in 4 nights for lachy, Michael and I. This my new PB from the river at 21kg, took the bait as I was dropping it down which was cool. Leaving them alone for now, although next ambition is a big river mully on lure! Cheers, max.

Good to hear that you are not going to kill the golden goose, and let the stocks rebuild.

cheers guys
Meeuwissen for the river we fish live baits mainly to keep it away from rays. Live mullet, bony herring, tailor, scallies or yellowtail are all good choices. Before i go ill spend a night catching fresh dead baits before going the next day, which i keep in a fridge overnight and dont freeze. Mulloway will take frozen baits yes but i always think fresh is best, this one was on a fresh scallie. dead baits i wind the bait off the bottom about 2-4 metres, mulloway will come up and take them and the rays and crabs struggle to get them which is good.
