Hopefully it turned out well. Yep I got a dhuie just 5 minutes before this one and we had film of that too. I called it for a ray at first as it just wouldn't come up but pretty soon I recognised the tell tale thump of that big tail.

Both fish were roughly the same weight and one was male the other female.

Looking forward to seeing the captures mate.

How much are people willing to pay for a fish like that.... at $60 per kilo its not a bad return if you get one...

Individual guided charters... hey Adam, if you weren't heading up to Exmouth we could have done a deal with you as my cameraman and deckie we could charge punters $1000 per head for a day out, with film highlights of them catching that.............whiting of a lifetime. (Hehehe)

Dhuie might be $60 kg but I saw whiting fillets for $50 kg. Not far off.

Now if only I could catch a 6 kilo whiting...
