Saturday Snapper

Saturday Snapper

Went out Saturday Morning with a mate from work. Tried the Sound for some snapper with no luck then headed to some ground north of the sound. 80m off shore in 8m of water. 15 mins work and we had to leave them biting after bagging out. Made getting soaking wet worthwhile. Great mornings fishing.

The fisheries guys at the ramp said there were very few caught in the sound. The area we were in has always been productive and luckily I never see any boats fishing there.

All fish were checked by fisheries on our return to the ramp. Which is good to see after hearing about the guys that came in with 20 last weekend. We only caught 2 over 70cm.

As Russ said. Keep that spot up your sleeve and hopefully you will continue to have good days out there.
