Peak Island Bass

Peak Island Bass

Wrestled from the shark's mouth as you can see in 25m of water.

Nice Jack

He looks a little bit worse for wear, obviously had a close call from a grey overcoat on the way to the boat.

Peak Island strikes again. Well done.

Cheers

Careful with that one mate it does indeed look like a red bass. Not that cig poisoning is really meant to occur over here but dont think it is a jack

It got told

Thu, 2006-07-13 15:48

Put the hard yards on it and it got its money's worth in the first trip. Got a longtail on it first up, then the sharks destroyed the second long tail and my back in the process, first real fish was the marlin, then the yellowfin worked it, then the 50+kg cod had me locked up on the bottom for 15 minutes solid but I could feel it moving. Had to hand it over to Gribbo for the last 10 minutes coz my arms were being stretched. Got a big bronzy around the 7-8ft mark which hurt its feelings and a heap of other solid tuna which gave it a work out. All in all it got some serious punishment but was definately worth the purchase, long live the tld 50.
