cant find the full story, from a facebook page. aparrently 110kg amberjack from canary islands spain, by all accounts its a new record and yes it likely died for the measure and weight.
this is the story that comes with the photo,
June 19, 2013. !! Beast of an AJ !!! Caught Canary Islands.
"This monster great amberjack of 240 pound or 110 kilos was landed at La Palma Island in Canay Archipelago (Spain). The huge fish was 85 inch - 2.18 metre long and was landed only after 1.5 hour of fight."
