Don't hate me Rickets!
I was a youngen then like at the tender age of 15. But now being 17, the fishing has changed with the softplastics. I rate them better then the Berkely Minnows, as they are durable and landing good fish!

Ive heard and had confirmed now from Tackleworld in Clarkson and GotOne in Woodvale that Snapbacks are on thier last legs. What you see on the shelves is what is left, permanently. There is no more stock coming in anywhere because the company that produces them has closed up shop because thier primary market in the USA didnt find them popular enough to make them continue....
So, I guess a better question to all this is:
What is there out there like snapbacks? Because you're gonna have to replace them with something :P

Its just a rumour about them not coming into aus! Ive talked to some boys who know some boys and the only thing that will be changing will be the packaging. The product will be still coming into aus and at this stage they will be still called snapbacks. There all i use as well so i needed to check this out.
PS: Dasho mate i spent all morning sunday flicking them around hillaries all the way up both rock walls for 5 hours, you might be impressed what is around there at the moment! Try right to the end off the southern rock wall and cast out and let them sit on the bottom without any action at all......this works the best. On the way cast near the pileons and the pontoon near AQUA theres some great sized little pinkies there at the moment and some thumper skippy and tarwine. Be gentel with the pinkies there schooling up and only around the 25cm mark.

bass minnows!
they aren't as durable as snappies but when they catch you heaps of fish you don't really mind going through them... gotta be my number one choice in plastics... second would be squidgy flickbaits

Snappy's!
Bass minnows have no eyes and the power minnows have eyes. The power minnows are basically the same shape but newer colours ohh and the eyes....very realistic!
I rate the power minnow,bass minnows and snapbacks for sure.
As for the Snapback issue, "Snapback" name is owned in Aust by Australian Soft Bait Company who have been getting them in under Terminator Snapback but will now be packaged the same but no more Terminator name on it, the product hasn't changed. They also have some new stuff coming out, stay tunned!

Was funny at burswood today with h0ju, was like a fricken soft plastics swapmeet when we first got there, out come the lures and sp's and after all that, we used nw prawns haha

To simplify it/break it down!
The Powerbait "power Minnows" come in 3 ranges;
Dropshot bass minnow - no eyes but with glitter powder
Walleye power minnow - no eyes and no glitter
Realistic power minnow - eyes and inbuilt glitter
All work well!

I still aint caught jack shit on any of them lol
I get more luck with grubs. However, I do remember getting some nice action in the way of hits and tugs, just didnt manage to hook up using some nuclear chicken gulp 2" minnows...
