whats the mindarie boat harbour like to fish for those toothy critters german?
how far north of mindarie were u? did u berley heaps?
what time did u get him and did ya get anything else?
I live in Quinns have not fished for them for a while but mates do all right off beach at Quinns when breeze is good for balloon go as far up coast as you can go on bitumen at Quinns beach estate theres a car park there and head down there not bad for tailor either CHEERS SHAG
My mates tend to go just north of them if you follow that road around north for a bit further it comes to a dead end at the car park there is a nice little reef drop off there . I will be there saturday night for a fish all these pictures are getting to me CHEERS SHAG

i fished 3 nights straight to try get one and all be caught were port jacksons and wobbys
and heeps of blue macks n choppers
sound like the same spot as where shag gos theres reef but large area to the left were theres plenty of sand holes. grab a heshen bag and star picket and set the bag with old frames just in the surf zone,you will need a hammer so you can bash the bag in firmly.summers when there around.the same method should work on most beaches in the metro area.berly being the key.
Last time I done that bag went missing with chomp through rope didnt go swimming for weeks after that try to keep bait off bottom because shitloads of rays around to I find whale oil works a treat in your berley CHEERS SHAG
You'd be lucky to find that around these days! Definately use a floater when fishing for sharks, I've never caught one off the bottom, always when a sinker snaps off or when using a free floating bait. Never really tried too hard off the shore thou, so it may be different.
Hey adam I know someone that has whale oil. Got it/made it when all the whales beached themselves in augusta years ago. Highly illegal to do it. Not sure about it then though. Still has a lot of it too. Makes a hell of a slick! I don't know how they'd make it if it wasn't imported from japan?
