Nah :( the best i got was a queen snapper. Ron said you would get fish of the day because you dont use bait and i was saying on the way there that bait is gay. Should have jumped over with you haha sorry ron! nah i still had a good time. my boobs didnt agree with the roughness in the morning though haha needed a sports bra i reckon!

i struggled all day mate, plenty of fish on the sounder but they didnt want to bite,
not good for channy with limited fish getting caught as well as me being sick(flu) it was one of the worst days fishing in a long time!!
sunday the flu hit me hard mate, in bed all day, only waking up in cold sweats.
this morning is better but now i got the chucking to contend with.
sorry channy, we didnt get you onto some good fish, you queeny was alright, you dont see many of them around.
how did the b/ass taste?

Easterlies were diabolical
Easterlies were diabolical early Saturday eh ben!! We ended up putting a sea anchor out for half an hour on the way out as the easterly waves peaked up against the current north of Rotto making it outright dangerous in my 5 m tug.
Similar sized dhuie to what I got on Saturday, the BEST size to eat ( more tonite!). So much better than the big ones, anything over 80 cm are quite tough from what we have found and we release dhuies over that size, 70 cm is just right.

That was a 70cm dhu too, as you say they're perfect eating size!
