thanks mate, depends whats showing on the sounder if fish are hugging the bottom ill jig it up 5m from the bottom but if the sounder is showing fish abit higher ill jig up to 10-12m off the bottom, (one of my best dhuies was caught at least 10m off the bottom) i find that baldies generally hit the jig a lot higher in the water column as well. it also depends on how the fish are feeding as well, if they are lazy or aggressive. hope this help
does anyone use bait or are you all jigging?
I have a few jigs but not the patience to stick with it if I don't get any touches early.
if your on ground and can see fish do you regularly get hits? cheers again
