I see 2 whites

5 meters . Fair few shells . Next moon bang. Heaps out of reach with long snare. Conditions today crap. Sand storms . Good numbers tucked right back.

Yeah I saw a couple through the week but seems it wasn’t believed in my other post. Glad you were able to post some photographic evidence as mine were already cooked.

Think you miss took my comment mate, not saying I didn't believe you, just saying going on past experience its very early for the whites to be moving.

Yes there will be a few whites around but it's very early for them to be doing much.

I generally pot these days rather than dive so I'm talking more in terms of whites potting up.

My pots will go in the drink next week

Yeah I’m not too fussed what people think but is nice to see some whites about. Things will kick off pretty soon I think and might be a few that miss the start if they keep their pots on the back lawn. I’m just happy going for a swim each week and getting into it.

suprised that some above are sceptical, it always starts with a few early ones.

Probably easier to notice when pulling 110 pots though than just a couple

Plenty way back in ledges hardening up. Pots next moon. Divers every day. Funny thing happened down ramp other day elderly gentleman going of his t-ts , reckons someone pulling his pots. Anyone with pots atm would be going well to get a feed, ( except deep pots) unsure not potting atm . Putting mine out in 2 weeks or so. Can’t see any point atm. Cray gone into some sort of slow mode . Dosile as under water

Johnny, when you say next moon do you mean the next new moon? Which would be this Saturday?

I'm just trying to figure out when I should put my pots out. I was thinking tomorrow but maybe a bit early.

John, you got first couple of whites, 1 soft, some shed in the caves, they will go first swell after the next full moon. If your a diver you will start to see the crays move to the south end of the ledges, and the swell after the next moon will make them go. Reason for them waiting till after the next full moon? They are walking and crays don't walk, move on a full moon. Same as last year John and the year before...
