Have you ever fished in that waterway between the island and Ascot? It looks promising on the satellite.

Been hunting through there a couple of times in the kayak Colin. Didn't have any luck with Breamski, the waterway was full of small mullet tho.

The top one's great, just tie off to one of the overhangs.

Are you allowed to net or trap the mullet there?

Hi Ya,

Thanks Blake.  I have walked teh path from Garret Road to Tranby and longingly looked at the river bank on both sides and wondered.  Looks like I might have to get the waders out and try walking through some of that swampy area.  Provided I don't sink through the bottom should be OK.  Will have to be careful.

I have been told that the swampy area down streem from, and on the same side as, Clarkson Reserve is pretty good too but because of the swamp I haven't tried there either.  Again, looks like a waders spot if for no other reason to protect from possible tiger snakes.

Cheers.
