I know it's an old post...
....but just so nobody dies wondering, it's a California sheephead, grows to 15kg, and like a baldy, feeds primary on crays, occy, and abs!

Native to Eastern Pacific
Nah these fish are native to the Eastern Pacific waters found from North to south California. Strange looking fish I'd never seen one before either! Did some research on them just then. Apparently they're extremely good eating as well. Just like our Baldies over here!
