Nice dhues and lawn for that matter kaneo.......Laughing

With sharks i'd used to (deckhand days) take the head off/tail off and all of the fins to get rid of the Ammonia & blood!

move away

Mon, 2008-03-10 20:57

*the sweep out the back and before the lumps are crazy, once we hit a scholl we change bait ,if the same happens we move away good this is i guess i have around 30 or so spots in and around the lumps, usually a few mile inshore of the lumps u dont get as much sweep,we usually find them on the banks etc.. we have sounded these fish and moved found the same reading and hooked into red snap schools, but no reds today.. sweep r a pain in tha ass because ur not targeting them but  a cple of them arnt bad..,when we move further south we never really get them.. like west of yalls or canals or indijup, alot of the ground out there is more shelly and i guess the sweep dont inhabit it.. same sh*t though the bay is full of gurnards and the lumps r full of sweep haha,

Cutting the tail off bleeds them right out like a hose. Hammerhead is awesome eating.
