Was out with Simon today and he caught this in 10 metres of water in the sound looks like a cross between a whiting and a wrasse
Cockburn sound blinky fish

Wonder what it tastes like. Did you eat it? Whiting are lovely, but trumpeter and wrasse are not. What a conundrum.

Looks a little like the Swan River Whiting that I see when diving for prawns. Might have gotten lost.
