Arrived 7.30am depth 46ft, snapper 3kg 12.20pm, 5 skippy, 1 blackass, couple under snapper released, missed horse snapper, it came up chasing my wifes skippy rite to top n just stayed until she pulled skip out could grabbed him easy, then chased up a small snapper my wife caught and was casually swimming around it, i thought about trying to net him but thought would only spook him, so i baited up with yellow tail, bought stuff, wouldnt touch it, i could see him swimming around it just off the bottom, i thought, i know what he wont refuse fresh squid head from the other day, so baited up my penn 850ss n power stick 25lb nylon, not the shimano tld25 50lb braid n tyrnos tcurve 6'0" like i should off, so i dropped down seen him come out of the reef ledge straight onto it, HOOK UP, i was in, he was peeling some line and i knew the ledge wasnt far away, putting the hurt on him,but he had found the ledge SNAPPED. Would been a 1 metery pretty thick bodied spewing.
