yellow fins they dont get as broad accross the shoulders either. No they are not juvenile GT's brassies still get pretty big i have seen them to around 20kg's.
GT's also have more dark pigment and males typically ready to breed get even darker, sometimes black. You get the GT "fear stripes" on the side. Here is a pic of a juvie GT in comparison
Here's a better pic of a juvenile GT closer to the size of the fish you caught. Note it hasn't developed the 'stripes' yet but a complete absence of the yellow fins. Also, notice the much stockier appearance, much less slender.
