Certainly put a lot of good fish to the sword in it. Catching little marlin on a $20 fuel bill will be hard to beat.

Big John

I am currently in the process of looking for a boat. Very interested indeed. I've been looking around Exmouth but am keen to buy with all the fruit already attached to save a few pennies. My only problem is finding a way to get it to Exmouth.

Nice looking set up big john and would say quite a bargain! What you trading up to any ideas?

Adam Im sure you could by it and leave it with your parents until you come down next. I know your old man wouldnt complain and I am sure he would get it out to stop the cob webs building up.

Thanks for the thought Jimbo

Currently down in Denmark Jimbo after a comfortable trip thanks to your Musso. Would love to couple your 4be with Big John's rig but know Adi wants it to head north not south. Going to combine both in late June however when we venture up to Exxy to hunt out the spots we fished in the 70's. May have to do that on the day's he's working so I don't show him more than he deserves after his comments about his old man!!

Tears

Thu, 2007-05-03 23:10

I have a tear running somewhere else. Jokes jokes. To say I'm stoked, excited, over the moon, hardly describes my happyness. Come Monday and Tuesday she will have hit the water in Exmouth and hopefully be broken in with some big fish love. ;)

Cheers for the offer Max and Steve, turns out Detor can bring it up for me this Saturday. Very much appreciated mate, will certainly fix you up with a beer or ten!

Long as you can maintain the standard of fish she's used to tangling with it should be ok. Some how I don't think it will be a problem now that she's off to her new home in Exmouth.

Still sitting down there in Perth. Will be selling it cheap as its in need of a bit of repair. But for someone that wanted to do a little work on it, it could easily be a magic boat. Just that I ran out of time, even though I did all the hard yards in stripping her back, just needs a coat of paint and to put the batteries back in, some new steering cable and seals for the windows and she's almost as good as new. :( But she wasn't really a 1 man job boat, atleast now with Big John's rig I can putt out to the reefs by myself and if I'm not comfortable with the conditions out there, sit on the inside and catch spanglies all day long on my light gear. Sounds terrible, I know. ;)

Good to hear

Sun, 2007-05-06 19:05

Must admit its still quite a shock when I go into the workshop and see the big empty space where it recently resided. In the rush of getting it ready to travel I forgot to throw in the spare ss rod holders we spoke about, sorry about that.

Yep certainly puts in perspective those spaniards in my gallery. Haha.
Replacement about 8-12 months off i'd say.

Great memories for you and the family Big John and still great because now Adam is going to be creating his memories with your rig. Good for us too as we're waiting on images from Exxy to follow.
