The site says they're for
The site says they're for "minnow plugs, Poppers, and metal jigs on boats" and with "high castability", so the 60g rating will mean you can fling a 60g jig far from the boat. If used only as a jigging rod, the jig rating will be a fair bit higher, at least double. Of the jigging rod's i've used, the cast weight would be usually 2-3 times less than the jig weight (going by feel when not stated on rod).

The Zenaq rods are nice and come highly recommended.
This range is actually designed for light jigging and casting so I think it will be suitable for what you're after and should suit a Stella 5000 nicely.
Would like to know the rods you can get for the same quality at half the price, Seaquest?

Can't see why you need to
Can't see why you need to spend $650 on a PE2 rod. Will this help you catch more fish?
There are plenty of rods out there that are maybe not the same quality but will do the job just as well.
But I suppose if you have nothing else better to spend your money on go for it. JMO

I think in all respect and it is with all things...
For instance, all cars do the same thing, that is get you from one place to another, but some perform better than others...
Fishing gear, like everything else, is the same. JMO!

Come on. Of course super expensive gear isn't always necessary, but if you reckon people who you use more expensive gear than you are wankers for that reason alone then you're probably just jealous! At the very least you're no better than someone who looks down on someone just because they use less expensive gear.
If you want to rock up to a charter in your Porsche Cayenne Turbo and jig for sambos with your custom Fisherman Spinoza (with gold cermet guides of course) while using a diamond encrusted Sanme jig, go for it!

I like good gear too, but
I like good gear too, but once you get past a certain point, then you're just buying bling.
I really don't get buying super expensive for such a middle of the road application, its neither finesse, nor heavy tackle.
Even after saying that, I have some friends that use Zenaq too ;)

... thats why you buy Pe3.... thats pushing the gear to its limits... I know kenny personally, the owner of extreme angler custom rods, and they are outstanding in class

Cheers guys.. tossing up between the Zenaq or a Yamaga 6'5" Pe3... Zenaq would be my preferred option at around the same price at this point in time

must admit , if you like
must admit , if you like quality gear , it's worth spending money on your most used set up. (personally my 30lb spin jigger) ((rod wasn't $650 tho))
i've spent more money on gear i'd use much less considering all my fishing is done metro. (pe4 stella 8k jm 250)
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I wish I had a lamborghini to do my milk run
If People think I'm a wanker for it who gives a toss, I'm the one with the Lamborghini ;) they can have their pieces of shit and criticize everyone they're jealous of. Go for the bling if you appreciate using quality equipment and can afford it :)
Gooooone Fishin!
