Submitted by fisherking on Mon, 2010-03-29 20:11
Hi all, I'm going on a trip to Yeagerup on ANZAC day long weekend with a four wheel drive club
. A group of folks chasing salmon.
I'm looking for some tips/rigs that'll give me an edge & hopefully let me live up to my name.
Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for your time & effort Russ.
Shame more couldn't be bothered to reply. Maybe the site is getting a bit flat, or just a bit, dare I say, cliquey!!

get your self a heap of gold
get your self a heap of gold halco twisties in various sizes, halco rooster poppers as well, again a could of different colours, dont be disheartened if you dont see the fish, keep casting , if they aren't up top, let the lures sink a bit and work the lower part of the water

The richter plugs have been working well down there
Fisherking. I would also stock some lures with a bit of weight as quite often the schools have been a frustrating distance offshore for anglers who haven't got the rods or the lures to get out to them.

just like colin said richter
just like colin said richter plugs are great, i was getting them 50m easy. The four main lures are metal lures(twisties, knights, spoons) anything heavy n flashy really to help you if its windy or swelly, Poppers, smilin jacks and the plugs. Off the beach your looking anything from about 40grams all the way up to as heavy you think your rod can handle. Good luck with it, i was down south over the last weekend but had to spend time with the mrs and there was alot of crew around so didnt really allow me to hunt them down.
