Went out for a dive Christmas Eve and motor was surging and missing/losing power, no apparent water in the separator bowl and both fuel filters are clean. My guess is sucking air somewhere in the fuel system and my question is when the engine is running should the primer bulb be hard or soft as mine is soft ?

Start with basics
Mine done something similar it was connection on tank side disconnecting and connecting rubber o ring had split in it sucking air. Bulb should be firm . Internally bulbs also stuff up

Cheers lj I thought it should be firm I'll have a good look around the fuel filter connections and bulb.
