Where to go

Next month the wife take off on a 3 month trip north with cruiser, camper trailer and 3.7m tinnie. Have got a start date and an end date with nothing planned in between.
First port of call and the starting point will be King Ash Bay and then meander back through the Territory and through the Kimberley.
Would anyone like to share any of their "Must Visit" places in that general vicinity with the emphasis being as much free camping as possible.
Also, absolute novice when it comes to creek fishing, and general advice would be appreciated.

there s free camping wherever u want it to be up north
70 mile beach is good fun - south of broome- paid
Cape Leveque - if u can friend one of the locals to take u in to the communities- not hard to do - u will be on barra and mudcrab -they ghave the best creeks ;p
King sound if u have a boat doctors creek
Michaelmas falls Big drive in but iconic
dont be scared to explore lil creeks - some of my best barra came out of creeks, u could piss over, with deeper pools
Roper river and lil roper has always been kind to me, watch for flat dogs, they are big and hungry

I must admit I loved my time at Katherine Gorge, never felt so relaxed than canoeing the gorge's with the mrs, met a bunch of people back at the camp site with easy conversation and plenty of stories.
Stayed a night that turned into a week lol
Drove into Katherine one day and the mrs spotted a massive pig on the road way up ahead and warned me to slow down, bloody hell, I slowed down to then witness a lovely couple having sex in the middle of the road, I even had to drive around them in their thirst for love making lol

Katherine Gorge was good last time, although stayed in town and did the gorge tour.
Three places in Aus that i rate as my favouties are Steep Point, Cactus Beach in SA, and the Keep River in the NT. Probably only get to Keep River this trip, sensational place i think.
