Whats the swan action?

Been fishing in the swan for a while and never catch anything

Thinking of taking the boat out and going breaming or maybe try catch a taloir o catch something over then blowies ;P

thniking of using some soft plastics around herrison island or black wall reach

Or dropping some prawns or mullies in them areas ?

 Hey mate..I know trolling

 Hey mate..

I know trolling 5-10g metals can be great for tailor near blackies area. Haven't really fished for bream ever so can't give you anything on them..

The best advice I reckon is to keep enjoying being out there and fishing (and not doing something you don't enjoy) and enjoy the fish when they come.

Keep trying and you'll have some wins.. and make sure you enjoy them when they come around!

Same here, as a newbie to Perth, I have caugt lots of undesize fish in the Swan and Canning. I tried different times and spots. Los of undersize tailor and bream about, but the big ones must have left the rivers a long time ago.

I have caught two big stingrays however at Applecross Jetty. Both put up good fights.

You can still find large bream in the river I alway find summer better around the mosman bay to fremantle area .last year there where quite a lot of 40+ cm bream cought in the river you just have to put in the time to find the spots they are holding up.

Still plenty of big bream in the river as Rhys said youv'e just got to stick at it, i find walking the banks and flicking soft plastics and hardbody lures the best way for me.

Here's a couple of fish from my last 2 outings." rel="nofollow">

There are lots of great bream spot in the river, ascot is a fantastic area, If you have a boat or kayak some great snags just down from guilford bridge, I still havn't mastered the ways of soft plastics, Which is driving me mad, but unweighted prawns etc close in to the worst looking snags is gonna come up trumps for you pretty easy if you stick with it. Keep moving seems to be the key to sucsess, And take mossy spray with ya, Holy hell i got eaten alive the other morning.
