was a pretty close game, until third quarter when pies opened the game up and didnt look back. travis cloke was unstoppable for the pies up front kicking 5? goals and getting ahandful of possesions. Sandilands rucked well, kicked 2 goals but was shocking elsewere on the ground. falling over everywere, giving up a tackle and just standing there.

Hate to say it

but the Pies were too good in close - always finding a team mate with a handball, whereas the Shockers kept getting caught with the ball and under a lot of pressure. Didn't matter that Sandilands was supreme in the ruck, the Pies midfielders still got plenty of clearances from the midfield and got the ball moving quickly to a man on man contest up forward, with Cloke far too strong for any opponent. Too many times the shockers players were pushed off the ball by their stronger opponents who then just strolled in and kicked an easy goal.

On the other hand a plus for Freo was the way they didn't rely on Pav for goals at least.

Now, hopefully the Eagles will knock over the Dees so we have bragging rights for this weekend at least Tongue out

Who cares, there's no May

Sat, 2010-05-15 12:49

Who cares, there's no May premiers so it's still game on for all. Just a little speed bump for us on our way through the year. Black n white maggots will soon start to choke, history doesn't lie. Just finished looking up the word colliwobble, and it says it is an annual event usually surfacing at Vitoria Park in Victoria Australia around every August to September every year. Couldn't find a dockerwobble or eaglewobble or demonwobble, or swanwobbble, or bomberwobble, or doggiewobble, or tigerwobble or lionwobble or kangaroowobble or crowwobble or portwobble or carltonwobble or catswobble, or hawkwobble or saintswobble but there was definately a colliwobble, damn strange that.

Cheers
Dale

that after Melbourne's woeful performance that Whoosa announced on the news their season is back on track and even mentioned the F word (as in finals).   Didn't mention which year though.

Dockers 16 yr developement plan

Mon, 2010-05-17 18:04

I suppose would have to give the Dockers a rie smile this year as its the first year in their 16 year history they have not had a developement year!!!!!! and it was there best winning streak ever (although 5 games not much i believe thats their season winning average). Just think when the Easles were that young they already had 2 Premierships and only missed the finals 3 times and that was with all the match fixing going on by the VFL such as the 1991 grand final the only one ever that was not played at the mgc and a ground that the eagles hadn't played on in over 2 yrs!!!!!

Thats enough i think i made my point just hope it doesn't turn out to be another DEVELOPEMENT YEAR FOR YOUS.
