Your dead right there uncle
Geelong showed where they are at this season. Colliwobbles showed them where they need to be at. Today's game a Subi is turning out to be the game of the round. Fingers crossed that the Eagles come out to play. Tigers had a brain fade, Judd had a brain fade.......

Pies deserving premiership
Pies deserving premiership favourites so far...looking dangerous. Good to see the Cats struggling (from a Hawks fans perspective), wonder if they will do a Hawthorn and miss the finals after winning a GF...I suppose it had to happen sooner or later, the Cats dropping back to the rest of the pack, so to speak.

Poor management at Geelong in my opinion
They had a strong list of seasoned players who have "expired". Same happened to Brisbane really and also to West Coast. Without banging my chest I would suggest that those clubs look at how the West Coast have managed the change over time. It's all too easy for a board to just sack a coach.

In that case
I wonder how Sydney have managed their side. Havn't seen them drop to the bottom like other clubs have.

They've got a habit of some shrewd management when it comes to recycling players thats for sure, Roos and Longmire have an eye for it...Josh Kennedy, Ben McGlynn, Ted Richards, Shane Mumford, Rhyce Shaw, Mark Seaby

Sydney may as well been playing gws or gold coast. Eagles at half strength with a raft
Of key players not playing. Basically they had no fwd line. Just wait till finals. Always gonna be an easy win for the hawks playing the bullies

Team
All the teams have the same number of players, same goes for the side named on game day, no excuses if you lose because you have some out and don't expect any sympathy from your oponents.
Was left wondering why so many high hits during the game, though it was bad luck for the swans bloke who got knocked out and sent off to hospital.

Eagles under pressure
all game long, Swannies played well moved the ball around a lot easier then the Eagles, even though they have a good number of their front line players out, it's good exposure for the second tier players. Will have to stepup to be a force in the finals.

Great weekend for WA footy
Fremantle continue to improve by showing the Demons how to play AFL.
Wet Toast show no heart to be butched by a very good Swans side.

Down???
What do you mean by down?? Surely being fifth on the ladder isn't down.
When you were down 2 years back it was your own doing to get a better pick after the end of the season but now!!! cmon, get real.

Someone please explain why
Someone please explain why the eagles persist with Mitch brown and tom swift. They are both crabs of the highest order. Why not play Fraser mcinnes seeing as we lost a forward. Seemed strange to play schofield forward when we lost waters and his run off halfback already ??

Schofield
as you say should have been played along half back line, got put there for the third quarter then back forward and couldn't get a touch. Thought the young forward should have been blooded (McInnes)

Missed the game as I was
Missed the game as I was flying back from Darwin just as well. Sounds like we were beaten by a better side on the day. I've said it before our second tier players need to step up and and give us some depth when we do have injuries. Come finals time we need an in form team with good back up can't rely on the stars all the time. Good wake up call......
Love the West!

am a big eagles fan myself,
am a big eagles fan myself, but i think we will be lucky to win 1 or 2 more games for the season and struggle to stay in the 8
Injuries have crippled the side, mostly as they are all from the forward line now with Darling unjuring his hamstring. Eagles entire forward line is out injured.
Time to blood new younger players again i think, winning the flag this year is going to be almost impossible given the injuries, may as well get some games into the younger fellas.

I generally agree with you
The side we fielded yesterday was not a side that can do any real damage to any of the top sides. Schofield should always be used as a running back and Waters is sadly missed down back.
Without Hill, Lynch and a few other forwards currently out the whole side lacks balance and the ability to press. Next few weeks are critical. I am not sure Swift will play again for the Eagles. I just don't see anything in him. I don't think he can kick further than 20 meters.

A Grade Players out
Most teams have a few of their front line players out at some time in the season. The side that the Pies put on the field last weekend would be the full front line for most clubs, would be interesting to see if Didak can get his spot back.

Very few if any teams have
Very few if any teams have all their injuries out of 1/3 of the ground
Last year WCE had Lynch, Kennedy, Lacras, Nicoski, Darling in the forwrd line.
Now, none of them (Lynch will come back from suspension.)
They picked up Hille during the off season, and he has done well, but also out with a hamstring injury. As well as Ham's out.
Really the only one left to kick a bag of goals is Cox, but obviously cant do this allon his own.
Could really see it yesterday that the WCE midfielders had no one to kick to, no lead up forwards and no one to take a packed mark. Just bomb and hope was the plan.

Yes; I understand
So I avoid such bad luck things as mirrors. Especially on days when things don't go as I would have wanted them to. A few slaps around the head (self inflicted), a few settling ales and all is well again until the next episode.
