Weekend fishing?
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Fri, 2010-08-13 16:38
I see the weather is quite nice for Perth and the south for the weekend, whats everyone getting up to?
Not so special up here in Exmouth, might get out for a mud crab tomorrow, but apart from that the August winds are starting. :(

wind forecast is right.

Sunday fishing
I'm good to go, but the tide and the moon is crap so it's anybody's guess as to how the day plays out! I can't actually say that I've been fishing on a worse day but I will post regardless.

i'll be heading out from mindarie sunday.
looking good to head out wide too.
we actually did better on a crap white day in almanac last time out.
fish has still got to eat , so when the wind is low , it's time to go.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

There's a big super yacht
There's a big super yacht moored just out from us up here at present, MV White Rabbit. Belongs to a very rich Singaporean business man who flies his executives down tonight and they go out on 5 day trips to the Montes. Now that's what I'd like to doing this weekend.
Cheers

Sunday Fishing
Hey Ron, I will be heading out of O/Reef, I am still very undecided as to what to do or where to go as I want to try something new.
My options at the moment are a bit of jigging west of Rottnest, dragging baits over lumps like we normally do, or sitting on the pick in shallow and chumming up, mmmm.... buggered if I know!! Whatever I choose I'll be a prick if it doesn't work!!

Sounds like your a little undecided there Steve. Mate the weather is looking good so no matter what we do as long as we are out on the water it should be a good one.

Sunday
I really don't want to fish the same grounds that I've been fishing lately as we have pulled too many fish from there. We need to learn something new, and as trial and error would have it, maybe we need to go home empty handed every once in a while!!

I look for ground every trip
I look for ground every trip ,no mater how small put in a mark ,I sometime will mark 10 spots in a day ,I will check them next time im in the area. Some spots I have had in the gps for ages and just never got back to check them out I guess out of every 10 marks you will get a new spot, just need to farm the stuff you have and not over fish. I try to fish different ground each time out. Some spot I may take ten trip before we get back to them again.

Buz's pics of his pinkies
Buz's pics of his pinkies have got me keen on a night fish in the bay. Tides aren't the best but sometimes you just have to fish when you can. Will head out in the arvo for a few squid and KGs first. The KGs are everywhere at the moment.
