Danger
Great insight to what it is like cliff fishing up north we have done it a few times. I would much rather have seen the guy carrying the rope back & forth attatch it to a safety harness around ya waist than waiting to gaff the sail. I realy have my doubts about the structural integrity of the plastic clip on the gible belt if somethin did happen. I realy think that even uncle Nino wouldnt be able to be quick enuff. Never the less well done on the catch & the vid. Rob
Cheers & Stay safe

Cheers guys
Yeah i was worried about that and the old penn senitor was accually smoking after a few blistering runs. I was worried it would lock up and i would be dragged off the cliff and to the bottom of the sea. I just hoped that the 50pound mono would snap before then lol.
Main reason he didnt tie me up with the rope was i was getting taken up and down the cliff by the sail. On the full vid unedited you can see me walking back and forward over 20 times.
Just glad in the end it worked out ok.
One thing now is i wish is that it could have been released.
Catch and release wasnt a big thing back 16+ yrs ago not to mention the fish was stuffed and there was no way of swimming the sail 20 meters up a cliff let alone cut the line at the hooks :(
