The new reel will still be nice no doubt, but definatley not enough to warrant an upgrade by the looks of it. Makes you feel a little bit better after having bought too many Stella 08's......
I had a play with the 30k at bluewater Morley recently and it is Massive! I'm a Stella man all the way but I can't imagine using it. You'd need a serious stripper guide on your rod cos the rotor is huge . Nice reels though but I've got FE's and SW's so I don't think I'll be upgrading soon ( I might NEED 1 though lol! ). Cheers
WOW that was harsh, I love his reviews, he gave that reel a hiding, I wont spend that money, not when I can buy 2 '08' for the nearly same price. I read both the Saltiga and Catalina reviews, before buying the Cat, and with the "spare cash" I have just bought a brand new Stella 08, for 695 for a company in WA.
Gotta love the mans work, would give my left Ball to see a photo of his reel collection.

Definately sounds like I'm going to keep my 2008 stellas and wait for the next generation! the poor tolerances/rotor play sound shocking...
