i have just purchased my first glass boat.

75hp Mercury outboard.Very excited.

13x17P prop pushes 32knots at 5500rpm.Does anyone think that by going 250rpm over recommended rev range will damage my outboard ?

or can anyone clarify why the 75hp rev range is at 5250rpm not the normal 5500rpm.

i don't want to re prop as I think it runs well as is.

any comments would be appreciated .
