Spearfishing Regs

Hi All I'm starting to get into diving more and looking to do some spearfishing as something different but for the life of me I cant find the official regulations on catch limits..
I've searched the Fisheries WA website for evenings on end and I've come up empty handed. The most I can make of it is the same rules apply for spearos as fisho's but I have heard all sorts of rumours and stories from different people saying that spearfishing on compressed air will be banned !! and all other manner of new rules coming out ...
Does anyone know the official regs and can point me to them in writing ???

the reason you havent found
The reason you havent found it on the website is because theres no difference between spearos and fishos.
Spearing on tanks is allowed, just not in certain marine parks

mate, most of the rules are
mate, most of the rules are the same, there are a few exceptions and a feww differnt rules in certain areas, like u cant sprear with tanks at point peron but u can on freediving. if u wanna know more go to www.waundersea.com.au, local dive club i am in, we even got one of the recfishwest chair ppl (went diving with him yesterday) and then also it will help u along with with getting better at diving
