Sounder/Gps Doctor?
Submitted by Righteo on Wed, 2012-04-11 08:50
Out crabbing yesterday and the navman died, put my hand on it and was pretty hot, hotter than what i would expect it to be even if it was sitting in the sun, when turned on you can push the buttons and it beeps ect but the screen is black.
Anyone know of somewhere to send it, isnt navman/northstar gone now?
Cheers.
(btw we got about 17 big blueys but was hard work)

has all my gps spots on it
has all my gps spots on it so..... yeah i think i'll bother to fix it.....
i think the furuno 585 and simrad nss7 covers the bigger boat but i tend to use the tinny more often as i can go as far at less than half the fuel cost so i need this sounder/gps fixed at the least just to extract my gps points.

Have you kept a separate log for your GPs points- Iwrite mine down - yep " The Little Black Book"! Good luck with it - you may find that if it is refurbed (if possible) that all your points will be lost through the process.
