Sounder advice

I purchased a furuno gp1971f around Xmas time and installed it myself I have run the tranny leads under the deck away from other electrics but have got my power from the bus bar under the dash. I get a good clear picture when running every now and then I do loose the bottom but it normally comes back, I have a 5.2m quintrex but I do get alot more noise on the screen when the motor is running if I run my power back to my battery instead will this remove all that noise or make it better at least.

Ferrite

Go to Jaycar and get a couple of $7 ferrite cores and put one over the power lead and one over the trany lead

Worked on a jrc unit that was doing the same thing years ago

Thanks for the tip Deep South I looked these things up at altronics and they are even cheaper only about 3-4 bucks. Where is the best place to clamp them, I will ask when I buy them but I will probably be talking to a teenager who might not really know.
