Something different, FADs Mahi, Underwater Footage, Rod Review, Dead Weight Test

It's been a bit quiet around here..
I was recently given an opportunity to put an ASWB PE3 rod through its paces and compare it to my beloved 10 year old Smith Offshore Stick.
What better way than throwing stickbaits at some late season Perth Mahi Mahi.
I had early reservations regarding the rod, I saw that taper as being too fast and a little stiff for my liking but couldn't say no to giving it a full test run.
I was surprised with the results...

I think that is the lowest I've ever seen the Rottnest swell buoy, quite unlike the weather in this video haha.
