soft plastics Brands/shapes/jigheads/colours

Ok, going to buy some tackle this afternoon and am after some advice. I have never had any success on soft plastics or lures except in exmouth trolling bibbed lures.
I am heading down to Walpole on Saturday for a week of fishing. What would people suggest for an array of soft plastics/jigheads for fishing the rivers and walpole inlet? Also what soft plastics would you reccomend for bottom fishing.
I think I want to spend less than $100 dollars and I need to get some other tackle too. But would like to have a small range of gear to try so am keen to know what others have had success with.

Try either some of the gulp
Try either some of the gulp or atomic range,if it is a decent store they should be able to advise you which ones to use.

yeah fair enough
But still after some advice from FW members, Are there some that are "easier" to work. What are the good colours? - I have heard the pumpkinseed color can be effective.
Are there some soft plastics that will fish both esturine shallow and open ocean bottom?

I would be looking at 2-3"
I would be looking at 2-3" plastics in either gulp, squidgy or powerbait the 2" grubs work pretty well for bream and the likes and the flathead will go off on 3" flickbaits one of my favourite plastics for inshore work is the 3" squidgy flickbait in evil minnow colour ive caught everything on them from bream flathead skippy and whiting to blackass snapper and salmon i would be using a lightish jighead maybe around 1 12th or 1 8th of an ounce depending on depth and weather conditions on about a size 2 hook if your around BCF in rockingham anytime this week drop by and ill be able to give you a hand

Bream in Walpole Inlet
It has ben a couple of years but I had good success using small Squidgies wrigglers in the Bloodworm colour in Walpole inlet. We used them in the shallows down towards the inlet. We managed 13 bream (all released) in about half an hour.
