Snapper release at Snapper Guardians 2020

Here's a little video I knocked up of our day at Snapper Guardians down at Woodies on Saturday. What a great turnout, estimated at over 1000 people attending. My little young bloke Ollie released 6 buckets back into Cockburn Sound, and hasn't stopped talking about it since.

A bit ironic, but I think I'll have to get him out soon to show him what a real snapper looks like!

Missed it, heard it was a big turn out, bit of wind this year kept the birds away too.

People are quick to bag the marine science etc....but for them to know when and were to find the baby mix....be able to keep it alive, feed it and raise them for release at a time limiting the mortality rate is first class!!

We are lucky to have a great snapper fishery, this just awesome.
