Shoalwater Bay

possibly heading down to point peron in the next few weeks. what can i be prepared to catch landbased and possibly out of a kayak? wont be going to deep in the yak though. im also trying to find out were the "no take" are is in the shoalwater marine conservation area.

nothing big to be honest.
herring, whiting, squid, small skippy, gardies, maybe some flatties and flounder around shoalies. and if you can get the yak out behind some of the islands/rocks where there is some white water over the reefs you might pick up some big tailor on mulies or poppers. couldnt tell you about the protection zone soz

yea just want to get a feel
yea just want to get a feel for fishing out of a yak. the shallows look prime for flatties/flounder and im really keen about the white wash for tailor.

yer well let us know if u get into any tailor mate im keen to give it a go myself. i think it was about this time last yr that they went off around penguin island
