What do you intend to use it for? Generally speaking... it's a good reel. I've never had any problems with them. It you take care of it... it will be a good investment.
got last years model 4000, the fj I think.....lovely little reel, run 8kg braid on one spool and 6kg mono on the other. Love casting lures and plastics with it.
anthing i can catch, mainly tailor off carnarvon and metro jumbos, herring, evrything, had other reels like a jarvis walker soverien 4000 and it did everything mentioned but it is overseas at the moment-best thing it was, it only cost 40 bucks
i saw on one a liitle screw and i think it was some easy mainenace stuff where you take out the screw and drop oil in-do they have these?
New model FJ symetry isnt a bad all-round reel... dont get the FH.
The FH has a flimsy handle...
I own both the symetry n stradic... not a huge difference when turnin the handles in the shop.... but wait till you load em up and the drag starts smoking.... then the difference is huge... I recon for the extra $50, go the stradic... just be careful... cause once you use quality, you cant go back to $50 reels...
btw... I bet my Stradic 1000 (with CF drag upgrade) would kick my symetry 3000's ass in a 5kg snapper race.... just due to the better drag & solid feel under load....
