Fuck even the Broome cops fired 25 bullets at the shark that took poor old mate at Cable beach. That 4 metre white on Thursday hung around most of the day and then came back again today. This is Esperances most popular surf spot, approx 3NM from where Gary got taken at Devils rocks.
Whats a white that size doing in that close? Surely Fisheries can drive it out with their boats, when its hanging around for days on end?
Esperance has become the shark attack capital of the world and if GW numbers havent increased globally like the scientists keep saying they sure as shit have all gathered down here lately for some reason.
What will end up happening is some frustrated locals will run their own baited set lines and knock a couple off and if by chance they got caught their fines would be crowdfunded 10 times over.

Last minute a weather window appeared so quickly took an early knock and headed over lunchtime Friday. Only saw 2 other boats from launch to retrieve and one of them was a workboat. Plenty of red cans consumed and a few trout came for a boat ride home.

the two gw brothers have been filmed together now for over 14 months ,,given great whites are supposed to solitary travelers etc ,,its a great doc on how many of them are that area off the coast near the seal islands breeding colonies

if we saw it at a divesite and it stayed in the vivcinity the grapevine would work and a day or 2 later it would wash up on the beach

Last minute a weather window
Last minute a weather window appeared so quickly took an early knock and headed over lunchtime Friday. Only saw 2 other boats from launch to retrieve and one of them was a workboat.
Plenty of red cans consumed and a few trout came for a boat ride home.

has anyone been watching shark week on fox ?/ saw a program on great whites of esperance last night that was pretty enlightening on them ,, they have been filming a pair of male gw that have same marking s and are thought to be siblings , there calling them ''the brothers ''as well as a whole lot of other great whites off esperance..the location is off esperance on one of the islands ,, they named it island of jaws due to the very high no of gw , there ,,it is a major seal colony and could be hood island and or howe island ,, had a alocal pro fishermen out with them , who has been demersal netting baby gw pups in the area apparently for years ,,,
the two gw brothers have been filmed together now for over 14 months ,,given great whites are supposed to solitary travelers etc ,,its a great doc on how many of them are that area off the coast near the seal islands breeding colonies
well worth watching if you get a chance,,,they started out in the neptune islands ,,looking for why many of the local gw had disapeared at the neptunes and ended up out of esperance ,, blurb and some info below

it was really interesting set of docos , there was a science team in with the film cinematographers ,,,
some risky stuff in it , as always ,,but having been down in esperance at the tart of nov , it was even more , unreal that this info was not well known about with the locals ,,the pro there anthony dupaine ??, was a keen observer who had some pics of baby gw , they had caught in nets in the area south of the town about 12 hours steaming ..think the boat was called ''risky business ''
certainly made me pay attention , west beach ,, can imagine how that would have scared locals down there recently ..
i can only think its not in local media ere much as it is so off putting to tourists etc,, so its being played down
it is on demand on fox along with alot of other shar docs,, isle of jaws worth getting a min fox package for about $30 per month to see it on discovery imo

there they have put out literally hundreds of bouys fitted with tracking receivers to pick up hits for the 49 great whites they have so far tagged
these tagged gw have produced over 17500 hits on the receiver bouys along that coast as there tracked ,,they say that there is an unprecedented increase in GW numbers and visits /activities along there coast ,,which has by pure chance one of the big seal colonies going around ,,
discovery on fox ,,well worth a look if you have it for shark week !!
