Schooling Dhuies at the Abrolhos Video

A recent foot operation had me house bound for 3 weeks – Finally, spare time to do some editing!
Alfred, 2 of my mates and myself had a fantastic 4 day trip to the Islands back in June. 4 of us and the skipper, Luke of Image Dive had his 20m boat all to ourselves.
Awesome diving and some great placcy sessions with plenty of banter and beers made it a perfect trip.
The Dhuie school is in the sanctuary zone....and it shows (which is great). Enjoy.

Now I know what a small school of dhuies would look like on the sounder. Compressed but spreading out sometimes ( reacting to the divers),and just as the pro fishers have said" like a pyramid". I noticed as well, not many bucks.

rhank you so very much for sharing that with all of us,it shows so clearly how a small school of dhuis could be wiped out by fishos not thinking about how many they are taking and how the schools of these magneficent fish are not huge

Fantastic video...those dhuies are a sight to behold...all the species were. Thanks for sharing your trip with us...what a fantastic place it is. You guys were spoilt having such a great boat all to yourselves.
