Saturday Bream

Managed a couple of hours on Sat afternoon. Caught a few, this was the biggest. My new secret spot carefully chosen to be out of the breeze and in the sun. Fished about 6 spots and caught 15 or so fish.

 Nice mate, lures or bait?

Nice mate, lures or bait? I was in Demark recently and the air B&B we had backed straight onto the Denmark river. The owner said I hope you brought your fishing gear as the previous visitors had been catching good Bream late in the arvo. I hadn't but we are booked to stay there again in March and will take a small flick rod.

Thanks

All on bait. Un weighted bits of peeled prawn. I never have much luck with lures.

Good fish

It's good to see posts like this. It's not all about dhu's and reds. The land based stuff is just as rewarding.

Well done on the bream, sitting in the sun out of the wind letting the state of the world pass you by, that will do me thank you very much.

Why I do it

That's why I do it. Just a chance to chill and enjoy the river and hope to hook a big one.

Well done on a good session. I caught and released 25 fish one night (several undersized) from a spot that looks close to where you were. Peeled river prawns too but with a very small ball sinker for the current.

Same

Pretty much the same. Only use weight if the current is strong. I release all my metro bream.
