If you make the extra slog
If you make the extra slog down to Albany/ Cheynes, it wont be a fizzer.

Few schools passing by in
Few schools passing by in Albany over the last 2 weeks. Should be a good season but once again if they go around the cape or not is another story.
always looking for a new challenge!!

My guess
is because we have moved back into an El Nino cycle after a few years of La Nina the Salmon should resume a 'normal' run up the coast.
There were a few around last year but nothing like we would normally expect.
Reports should start coming through from the South coast by Jan and if it's a 'normal' season we will start seeing them passing Cape Leeuwin by late Feb.
Fingers crossed

Mat Miller is right, this
Mat Miller is right, this season/year will be a great salmon run as the El nino cycle ruining the leeuwin current, this will mean a normal, or way better than normal year/season for salmon. BUT this also means a huge reduction in tropical pelagics such as mackeral, whaoo, and marlin, sailfish. We will be lucky to see 10 sailfish/marlin landed this summer i reckon. But i could be wrong. What i do know is it will be a good year for salmon , and a bad year for trolling, well not bad, just no where near as amazing as last year.
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.

Chat with the PGFC and I think you will find that, apart from the last two years, there probably where less than half a dozen marlin raised in the previous decade.
