Cheap starter jigging reel

i am looking for a relatively chea spin reel for light jigging around the fads, say 150m down, under $100 (motackle and internet sites are cheapr than in store, so say $150 in store?) Any ideas am i asking too much for the price range??, doesnt have to be anything special just a good real that will not break .

I highly recommend a pflueger

I highly recommend a pflueger salt series in that price bracket. I have one which I was leant by the rep and I had the sole intention of thrashing it, I ran 50lb braid on a 50 size (5000 equiv) which is certainly overkill and it has performed great over the last year I have owned it.

jigging reel

Hi mate,

There are a few different options which you can look at though the better value options are the Pflueger Salt and Crank reels.

Both strong metal bodied reels and we have even sent Salt 80's up north with commercial fisherman and they have been impressed with the performance for a low priced reel. The Crank features one extra bearing and a "braid ready" spool. Depending on what line class you want to run would determine the size of reel you would go for. If your just starting out jigging than we can also offer help on the "How, What, When and Where" of jigging.

Send us a PM if you need any more info in regards to the Pflueger reels.
