...like everything else, you're gonna have some good years, and some bad ones. The 2006 salmon season (and 2007 to a lesser degree) was an absolute corker and I think a lot of people are comparing everything to that.
It all comes down to the strength of both the Leeuwin and Capes currents, food supply, position of the stars, what motor oil you're putting in your car, whether the groundhog sees his shadow on Feb 2 in Pennsylvania (Groundhog Day!)...you get the picture. Next year could be a good one...or not!
