Round rock Margarete river area .

Has anyone fished the site called Roundrock Margaret River . If so any tips . Fished there last month but found it very weedy on bottom had to pull quite hard to free tackle .
Using dropper set up with 2 hooks . Would just a float be better .

Round rock
I used to fish the point and slopey rock just around from round rock depending on swell size and my go to was a live herring or mulie on a floating rig or balloon they both accounted for a few kings and sambos over the years. I know a few lads have pulled groper fishing floating crabs also

Used to fish there heaps for herring etc and a good spot. Word of warning as you probably know, don't get up there if the swell is up a bit or increasing as sometimes a bigger wave will come thru and there is no where to run to on round Rock. Cheers.

Round rock Margarete river area .
The day I fished was when then swell was 5mts or more . Crashing over the rock . Good viewing . Had to fish in the bay area , protected . Thanks for the comments . Will be down there August for 6 days 4 for fishing hopefully I can get to the area mentioned this time .
I have a 4wd and would like to hit the beaches as well . Bob hollow is one spot iI know off but track is crap . Any other spots I could try ?

Not that far to walk up to bobs hollow or spit rock from contos, or back to the ledges from redgate. Enjoy.
