Definately stick with single speed reels for bottom fishing and stay away from the Hyper Speed. You dont need super high gear ratio to bring fish in. What size line you planning to run?? 50lb?? and what rod will it go on??

What line are you going to

What line are you going to put on it? I have a 20LD and I managed to fit 600m of 20lb and 150m topshot on it so even the small ones have a heap of capacity. It should fit 300m of PE5 no probs on the 20 so a bigger reel will hold heaps too. Usually the wide ones are annoying for jigging, but wont be a problem trolling and bottom fishing. For the 20 at least, i've found the cranking pretty good. Can rip in line and crank it in. The 2 speeds werent as smooth and the standard speed one still pulls in 1m+ of line per crank so pretty fast. I only pump and wind so dont crank in fish and the gear ratio has been perfect for me.

Saltist 30LD

The Daiwa Saltist LD 30H is $349 for FW members price.

I'd recommend either Sunline Super PE 50lb or Daiwa's Hyper PE Accudepth 50lb for general fishing and jigging.
